Lindsey was hired in 2024 as Human Resources Director. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Upper Iowa University, with an emphasis in human resources. Lindsey is a designated SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and obtained PHR certification from HRCI. Lindsey possesses over 18-years of human resources experience at the director level. She has a deep understanding of workforce dynamics, employee relations and organizational development strategies. Lindsey spearheads numerous initiatives to develop, motivate and lead highly effective teams across the County. Lindsey champions employee engagement, while managing the overall recruitment, promotion, training, development, performance, and succession of personnel. She plays a pivotal role in shaping human capital strategy and contributing to strategic goals. Through leadership coaching, a collaborative approach, and innovative thinking, Lindsey aims to foster a commitment to continuous improvement within a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers employees to thrive and contribute to the County’s mission.
Inés Beltré, Employment Manager

Employment Manager

Inés was hired in 2020 as  Human Resources Coordinator and promoted in 2022 to Employment Manager. She possesses over seven years of experience in human resources and currently serves in the military with 17 years tenure. Ines provides leadership and coaching management in activities relating to Johnson County employee/labor relations, including administering collective bargaining agreements and policies approved by the Board of Supervisors. Inés is a member of SHRM and actively works on human resources strategic initiatives while promoting best practices and mitigating organizational risk.

Adam Grier

Adam Grier

Risk Management Coordinator

Adam was hired in 2017 as the Risk Management Coordinator. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from Mount Mercy University with emphasis in Human Resources Management. Adam possesses over 16 years of experience as a safety professional, including prior OSHA Trainer expertise. He served in the military for eight years. Adam is a member of the Public Risk Management Association and works with Johnson County’s insurance agency/carriers as well as with the Finance Department and has operational responsibility of auto, property/casualty and general liability insurance. He also performs functions related to workers’ compensation, safety, drug testing, and related training.  Adam serves as Chairperson of the Safety Committee.

Kristy was hired in 2022 as the Human Resources Coordinator. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Mount Mercy University. Kristy possesses over 25 years of experience in human resources with an emphasis in talent acquisition. She previously served on the Regional Workforce Development Board for nearly 10 years and on the Eastern Iowa Human Resources Board for three years. Kristy is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and performs HR generalist functions for Johnson County including recruiting, onboarding, benefit administration, employee/labor relations, compensation, publications, training, and other human resource initiatives. Kristy serves on the Communications Committee.

Melaine was hired in 2022 as the Human Resources Assistant. She has over 25 years of administrative experience, the bulk of which has been with non-profit organizations and local government agencies. Melaine performs supportive Human Resources functions for Johnson County including maintaining records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. Melaine is a member of the Employee Engagement & Events Committee.

Ethan was hired in 2023 as a Human Resources Assistant. He has over 6 years of county government experience previously working for Scott County. Ethan performs supportive Human Resources functions for Johnson County including maintaining records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. Ethan is a member of the Safety Committee and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee. He is currently attending Kirkwood Community College to obtain his AAS in Business Administration.
