Meal & Movie ($7.50 catered meal, FREE movie) // Last Fridays, Monthly // 11am – 3pm // Solon Public Library // RSVP to 319-624-5250 // Typically held the last Friday monthly, the FEBRUARY 22 movie is about Abraham Bursztein, an 88 year-old Jewish tailor, runs away from Buenos Aires to Poland, where he proposes to find a friend who saved him at the end of World War II. Comedic and poignant in equal measure, from Argentina to Spain, across Germany and finally to Poland, he is accompanied by the characters he meets along the way. Standout is the iconic Spanish actress Angela Molina, proprietor of the hotel where he stays. Film approaches its weighty themes with a light touch but a serious story. Its mix of Spanish, Yiddish, German and Polish is a surprise, a late-in-life movie with planes, trains and heart..
